The religious Givenchy's fall 2010 collection

Religion and Politics should not mix, but what about Religion and Fashion? Well, apparently, and hand the creative director of Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci, there may arise a perfect combination. This is what the designer showed in Paris a few days ago. Many expect very attentive the start of the parade of the new collection for next fall 2010 men, for they knew he was going to be special.

The surprises started early. The show included religious details that focused all eyes: a crown of thorns gold pendant and different accessories, allowing those present to remember the religious and historical obsessions Tisci. One of the most striking designs was that of the white shirt had a picture background of Jesus Christ with "Jesus Is Lord".



The setting seemed to transport guests to a room at the Sorbonne: a large room with ornate baroque style and stunning frescoes that stood out. Tisci, considered by many critics as a top designer fashion in terms of imagination, cuts and vision, and religious reasons previously included in other seasons.

The collection is starring, almost entirely, for two colors: black and white. The models were monks in sandals type. They stressed the leather jackets that matched perfectly with classic shirts. These shirts, white cotton, were transformed gradually into club clothes instead of church. The soundtrack to the whole show was the "Hail Mary".
